Q. I'm a guy who lives in jeans. How do I begin to shop for a
tuxedo?
A. Relax. Tuxedos and tailcoats are basically dressed
up suits. They are fitted the same way. Traditionally, the groom's
attire is determined by the size and formality of the wedding. Another
important factor is the Bride's gown. Browse our website pages to
see what's current. |
Q. Do all the men in my wedding party need to wear tuxedos?
A. It is customary for the Groom, Bestman, Ushers,
Groomsmen, Ring bearers and fathers to wear tuxedos. Some couples
request grandfathers, uncles, godfathers or other close family friends
to wear tuxedos as well. It is a great way to include them in a
special way on your wedding day. |
Q. I'm getting married. How far ahead of time should we choose
what the men will wear in our wedding?
A. We suggest you make arrangements two or more months before the
wedding date. Some prefer to book their wedding six months or more
prior. You definitely want to allow plenty of time for all of the
men (and boys) in your wedding party to come in at their convenience.
|
Q. When does everybody need to be fitted??
A. As a general rule of thumb all your groomsmen
should complete their initial fittings at least one month prior
to your wedding day. Feel free to push that date back to 6-8 weeks
prior, giving you peace of mind. Coordinating all the proper sizes
and styles takes time so having everybody fit in ample time is very
important. |
Q. Do I need to make an appointment for my tuxedo fitting?
A. Appointments are not necessary. We encourage you
to come in at a time that is most convenient for your schedule.
You may want to avoid Friday afternoons, as that is the pick up
time for tuxedos going out that week.
|
Q. How long will
it take for my tuxedo fitting?
A. It will only take 15 to 20 minutes to be properly
fitted (sized) for a tuxedo. In order to give the proper attention
to our fittings, we do suggest that whole wedding parties not come
in at one time. One or two at a time is best. |
Q. I
have a few guys who are hard to fit; will you be able to accommodate
them?
A. We SPECIALIZE in fitting! Fit is the most important
part of a tux! You can have a tux that is really nice, but if it
doesn't fit right, it won't look very good. We stock from sizes
3-70 in most of the popular styles. Our fitters are trained and
highly experienced. |
Q. Who pays for
the tuxedos?
A. It is completely up to each wedding party. What
seems to be most popular is that each person pays for their own
tux rental. |
Q. When will I pick
up my tuxedo?
A. Your rental tuxedo will be ready the day before
the use date, usually on Friday afternoon. (Unless special arrangements
have been made in advance). |
Q. Do I have to
try it on in the store when I pick it up?
A. It is best to allow 15 to 20 minutes pick up time
so that you can at least try on the coat, pants and shoes. This
way we are assured that every tuxedo leaving our store fits properly.
If there are any adjustments necessary they can usually be taken
care of immediately. If you are not able to pick up your own tuxedo,
we ask that you please try it on as soon as possible at home. If
you have a concern about the fit, please contact us immediately
by phone so that we may remedy the situation before your event. |
Q. When do I pay
for the tuxedo rental?
A. We require a 20.00 partial payment at the time
of fitting. The balance is due on or before pick-up day. Mannino's
Tux and Tails accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover,
ATM Cards and checks with proper ID. (We cannot accept out of state
checks). Oh, yes, we also take cash! |
Q. When
will the rental tuxedo be due back?
A. All rental formalwear is due back the next business
day after use, unless special arrangements have been made in advance.
There is a 10.00 per day extended rental charge for every day it
is late. |
